Three Ways to Help Dieters Have Peace With Their New Lifestyle.

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27

Informational, "You can eat all the food you want and still lose weight. No exercise required. No dieting, no disciple no need to do anything but sit around and watch Atlanta Housewives while eating a bag of Hershey kisses."

That's all I hear when I see the PX90, Flirty Girl, and Zumba informational.  Don't get me wrong, they have work for many people but right now I’m talking about me.  I have giving up on those "fad" diets.  Lift my head high in the sky to only realize that GOD is who I need to get me on the right track to my New Lifestyle.   I know only HE can come into my life and transform my heart and body.

Like many people, I have been overweight all my life.  Today, I have proclaimed my victory of no longer wanting to live by food only.   I have the Prince of Peace running along side of me.  I want to make him proud of me. There are far too many times where I have been impatient with myself and it has gotten me to a place where I feel alone and abandon.  I use food as my safety blanket.   I no longer have to do that.   I can fall back in the arms on my Lord.    I will open my heart and received my many blessings.   I will feel reassured that the only person who has died for me will save me.

When I wake up each morning, before I step on the scale, I thank GOD for he has blessed me with another day. I bask in HIS glory. With slow steps, I walk to the scale standing before it with my hands in pray form, I say, "Father, I am thankful for whatever number is shown on this scale. Whether the numbers are high or low. In advance, Thank You in Jesus Name, Amen"

One Tap!  0.00 displays on my scale LED screen. I step on.. and to my eyes.. the numbers flash. I step off.. and say.. "Thank You, Father!"

It doesn't matter to me what the numbers display.  It matters that my Father knows for HIM and only HIM, I am thankful. He allows me to wake up each morning, move my limbs to my morning workout, which then allows me to feel good about myself.

I am patient with myself.  Losing weight will take time.  It is often when we are tested that we know where we are in our hearts.
No matter what kind of weight issues I may have had in the past, Jesus' promise from John 14:27: "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

Changing your eating habits can be very stressful - Paul tell us from 1 Corinthians 6:19: "Or do you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from GOD, and you are not your own."  Fellow Christians please take care of your Holy Temples.

Here are three ways you can take care of your borrowed Holy Temple while honoring GOD

1. Pray and build your relationship with GOD.   Talk to GOD asks HIM for his guidance. Try this daily and express your feelings honestly.  GOD knows all.  Confess your sins and repent during your prayers.  You do not have to pray only during bad times.  Thank Our Father, when times are great.  A good times to pray is in the morning.  It's a new start to your day, whatever has happen yesterday give it the GOD.   If you are unsure how to pray, turn to Matthew 6:9-15 and recite the Lord's Prayer.

2. Eating and Exercising.
Breakfast is the most important apart of the day.  We all juggle too many activities, therefore, we tend to forget that breakfast is a must have.  It fuels us and keeps our minds and body running.  Sounds like Our Father!  He fuels our mind, body and soul.  Eating vegetables and fruits are essential when trying to your new life style.  Christian we must be persistence and be more like Jesus.  Avoiding putting unnecessary substance into your body.  Challenge yourself daily with 10 minutes of exercising.  Each week push your body harder, adding on more time.  Find a gym body, or exercise DVD you enjoy.  It doesn't take much.  Move your body to some Christian contemporary music.  Dance like you are in Heaven with no more worries.  May I suggest J.Moss's Rebuild. Always respect your body!

3. Fasting.   As Christians, we must fast.  Fasting helps us be discipline, dedicated and devoted.  The three "Ds".  During your Fasting time, find a quiet place and reflect on your Christian journey.  Go inside your mind and listen for God’s small voice and focus ten times more on HIM.  HE will strengthen, teach and love you unconditionally.  You must not let anything come between you and your worship of GOD.   Fight any temptations with the only weapon you will ever need - the Scriptures.

Let's Pray:
Father, you and only you can help me in all aspects of my life.  I turn myself over to you and ask you to work through me.  I am ready to take care my body, mind and soul.  I just need your help.  In Jesus Name, Amen.
